It is with great joy and anticipation that I send this introductory note. My name is Jonathan Morris (Pastor Jon), and I am excited to be stepping into the role of your Senior Pastor. My family and I are looking forward to meeting all of you and growing alongside you in the Lord.
My wife Rebecca (Becca) and I will celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary in October 2025, and we have a total of 14 kids, 2 bonus kids (a son-in-law and daughter-in-law), and 3 grandkids with one more on the way. Our oldest Harry (26) and his wife Becca live in Fort Wayne, IN with their little one Frankie, and are expecting baby #2. Our daughter Bethany (24) and her husband Ocean live in Kettering, OH, with their two little ones, Valerian and Lunette. Our daughter Amanda (22) lives in Cincinnati, OH. The rest of our munchkies, Kaitlin (23), Emily (21), Joseph (17), Isabella (16), Isaiah (14), Seraphina (12), Nehemiah (10), Millie (8), Adalind (6), Audrey (4), and Elyana (22 months) all live at home. As a family, we love spending time in God’s beautiful creation; gardening, walking, hiking, biking, playing tennis, and pickleball. We also love music with kids playing a variety of instruments, and have a family praise band. My family and I have served in full-time ministry for over 13 years, spending most of that time in Ohio, but we have most recently been serving a church in Lone Rock, WI. I received my Master's of Divinity from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH, and attended Otterbein College in Westerville, OH for my undergrad. I first heard the call to serve the Lord in pastoral ministry during my time in the US Army, and after several years, finally accepted that call and have been following the Holy Spirit’s guiding ever since. I am looking forward to serving the Lord alongside all of you and seeing what the Lord has in store for the Wyandot Global Methodist Churches. Peace and Blessings, Senior Pastor Jon Morris |
